Position: HVAC Sales Representative

The primary focus of this role is to acquire new clients by promoting maintenance contracts related to HVAC systems, control solutions, and building operational services. The selected candidate will also be responsible for advocating proactive mechanical, energy, and control initiatives to both prospective and existing customers. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, with a strong emphasis on sales, client engagement, and customer satisfaction, which may involve travel to client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand the service maintenance portfolio by marketing commercial HVAC service offerings to new and existing clients, including repair services, modernization, and service agreements.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our offerings at all times.
  • Collaborate with branch personnel to guarantee exceptional customer service from order placement through delivery and beyond.
  • Conduct customer surveys as needed to identify opportunities for improved energy efficiency through equipment upgrades and proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Acquire all necessary licenses and certifications to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Complete all required scheduling and management of monthly client interactions as directed.
  • Adhere to company processes and ensure timely and accurate completion of all paperwork.
  • Continuously enhance sales skills and product knowledge to maintain a professional image in the field.
  • Interpret architectural and mechanical drawings to determine appropriate HVAC placements for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits to all projects, coordinating material flow to on-site foremen to ensure timely project completion.
  • Participate in relevant trade and business association events to further develop professional relationships.
  • Achieve established sales targets and objectives.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Previous sales experience in HVAC services within a business-to-business context is preferred.
  • Experience in the HVAC field or related industries is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret job specifications to determine appropriate product applications.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Capacity to maintain a positive work environment is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Smartsheet, SharePoint) is essential.
