Position: HVAC Sales Representative

The primary objective of this role is to cultivate new business opportunities by marketing maintenance contracts associated with HVAC systems, control mechanisms, and building operations services. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for advocating proactive mechanical, energy, and control initiatives to both prospective and existing clients. This position requires a strong drive to succeed in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, with a key focus on sales, client engagement, and customer satisfaction, often necessitating travel to various client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand the service maintenance portfolio by promoting commercial HVAC service offerings to both new and existing clients, including repair services, modernization, and service agreements.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Collaborate with other team members to guarantee exceptional customer service from order placement through to delivery and beyond.
  • Conduct customer assessments as needed to identify opportunities for enhanced energy efficiency through equipment upgrades and proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Establish and nurture vendor relationships.
  • Acquire all necessary licenses and certifications pertinent to the role.
  • Complete timely scheduling and execution of monthly client interactions as directed by management.
  • Adhere to all company protocols and ensure accurate and prompt completion of required documentation.
  • Continuously improve sales techniques and product knowledge to maintain a professional presence in the field.
  • Interpret architectural and mechanical schematics to identify optimal HVAC placements for new constructions and renovations.
  • Perform regular site inspections to oversee project progress and coordinate material flow to on-site supervisors, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Participate in relevant trade and business association events to strengthen professional relationships.
  • Achieve established sales targets and objectives.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Previous sales experience in HVAC services within a business-to-business context is preferred.
  • Experience in the HVAC field or related industries is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret job specifications to ascertain the appropriate use of products.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to foster a positive work environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Smartsheet, SharePoint) is essential.
