Tom Hesser Dealerships is on the lookout for a dedicated individual to take on the role of Service Advisor. This position is essential in our thriving automotive service center. While previous experience as a service advisor is advantageous, we are committed to training the right individual. Familiarity with the CDK computer system is a plus.

Role Summary: The Service Advisor plays a crucial role in managing service appointments and effectively communicating necessary services to our clientele. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customer relations and service inquiries.

Working Hours: Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Compensation: Hourly pay is commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Coordinating service appointments via phone, text, or email using the dealership's computer system.
  • Creating repair orders by detailing symptoms, issues, and necessary repairs, while securing customer approval.
  • Providing estimates for repair costs and timeframes.
  • Monitoring the status of repair orders throughout the day and updating customers on any changes.
  • Confirming warranty and service contract coverage, explaining relevant terms and exclusions.
  • Delivering vehicles to customers, addressing any inquiries, and reviewing completed work and associated charges.
  • Enhancing job knowledge through educational opportunities and staying updated with manufacturer communications.
  • Handling warranty processing and coding.
  • Performing various administrative tasks as assigned by the Service Manager.
