Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Patient Scheduling Coordinator is to take phone calls for scheduling patient appointments and reschedules. Conducting insurance verifications and referrals are also a part of this job. This role is an entry-level position that provides an excellent opportunity to gain industry knowledge and training. We offer a supportive work environment and opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter via phone.
- Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
- Practice urgency at all times with patient's time.
- Conduct insurance verifications.
- Knowledge of common fees charged for visits.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Desire to gain industry knowledge and training.
- Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals.
- Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change.
- Consistently creating a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused.
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering phones.
