Job Summary

In conjunction with the Head Nurse, this LPN provides first-line planning, coordination, coaching, and organization of daily operations to ensure quality patient care in the assigned practice group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to Health Center patients as needed based on patient demand and staff capacity.
  • Function under the supervision of the Head Nurse, accepting guidance from the Associate Medical Director, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and/or Physician's Assistants.
  • Act as a resource and problem solver within the practice group, responsible for effective clinical team building.
Requirements
  • Must have advanced knowledge in multi-disciplinary practice groups and ambulatory care nursing principles and protocols.
  • Must have knowledge of policies and procedures related to quality improvement, infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality.
  • Must have knowledge of medical chart reporting/recording and filing.
  • Must be familiar with program/agency/regulatory policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience as an LPN, a portion of which must be in ambulatory care; supervisory experience preferred.
