Job Summary:

The Wound Care LPN is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to adult patients with wound care needs. As a Per Diem Wound Care LPN, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive wound care services, including assessment, treatment, and education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Registered Nurse.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of wound care principles and practices.
  • Current certification in CPR and NYS Licensed Practical Nurse.
Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an approved LPN program.
  • Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current certification in CPR.
Working Conditions:
  • Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling during the workday.
  • Exposure to patient blood, urine, and other body fluid samples along with other hazardous materials.
  • Attendance at scheduled dates and locations ensures that job requirements are met.
