About the Position

The State of Colorado is seeking a highly qualified Executive Director to lead the Colorado Lawyer Assistance Program (COLAP). As a key member of the State's legal community, the Executive Director will play a critical role in promoting the well-being and professionalism of attorneys in the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of COLAP, ensuring the effective delivery of services to attorneys in need.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to promote the mission and goals of COLAP.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Colorado Supreme Court, the State Bar of Colorado, and other legal organizations, to advance the interests of COLAP.
  • Manage a team of professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the program.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including law schools, bar associations, and other organizations.
Requirements
  • Active Colorado attorney license in good standing.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a legal or behavioral health setting.
  • Master's or doctorate degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Advanced certification in behavioral health, addiction medicine, or a related field.
