About the Job

Riverside Community Hospital is seeking a skilled Med Surg Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Med Surg RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care for Med/Surg patients
  • Monitor patient activities and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with nursing standards
  • Administer medications as ordered and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications
  • Initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for assigned patients
  • Assume responsibility for patient placement and assignment of care responsibilities
  • Demonstrate competence in clinical knowledge, skills, and technology required for patient care
  • Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Provide patient education and keep patients informed of treatment plans
Qualifications
  • Valid California RN license
  • Current BCLS certification
  • National RN Certification preferred
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred

Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County.
