Med-Surg Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse to join our team at Riverside Community Hospital. As a Med-Surg Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice.
- Administer medications as ordered and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications.
- Initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for assigned patients.
- Assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities.
- Demonstrate competence in clinical knowledge, skills, and technology required for patient care.
- Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate concerns to the appropriate person.
- Provide patient education and keep patients informed of treatment plans.
- Valid California RN license.
- Current BCLS certification required.
- National RN Certification preferred.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred.
Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County.
The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
Riverside has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which it is very proud of.
