Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse to join our team at Riverside Community Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care for Med/Surg patients
  • Monitor patient activities and provide guidance to nursing staff during procedures
  • Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with nursing standards
  • Administer medications as ordered and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications
  • Initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for assigned patients
  • Assume responsibility for patient placement and assignment of care responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Provide patient education and keep patients informed of treatment plans
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families
Requirements
  • Valid California RN license
  • Current BCLS certification
  • National RN Certification preferred
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred
About Riverside Community Hospital

Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. We have the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and are the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County. Our hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
