Med Surg Registered Nurse

Riverside Community Hospital is seeking a skilled Med Surg Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Med Surg Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care for Med/Surg patients
- Monitor patient activities and provide guidance to nursing staff during procedures
- Develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with nursing standards
- Administer medications as ordered and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications
- Initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for assigned patients
- Assume responsibility for patient placement and assignment of care responsibilities
- Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel
- Provide patient education and maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment
- Valid California RN license
- Current BCLS certification
- National RN Certification preferred
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred
Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County.
The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
Riverside has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which it is very proud of.
