About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team as a Surface Class Platform Lead at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our Fleet Simulator Training Unit, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and training at our fleet simulators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Resident Engineers responsible for the operations and maintenance of fleet simulators
  • Oversee the training of naval personnel at our fleet simulators
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our fleet simulators
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or a Master's degree in a science-related field
  • A minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or 7 years with a Master's degree
  • Experience in IDE operations, IDE testing, I&C equipment testing, change control process, and configuration control
  • Ability to communicate effectively with regulators and team members
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
