Logistics and Order Processing Associate

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping & Receiving Operations

· Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles as required.

· Examine materials for any defects or damages during transit.

· Notify management of any defective materials or concerning conditions.

· Document shortages, lost shipments, and report missing items to management.

· Prepare items for dispatch accurately; assess the most efficient shipping methods.

· Assemble and prepare containers for product shipment.

· Process incoming deliveries, including unpacking and preparing items for display.

· Direct items to appropriate departments.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization in all back areas.

· Operate a forklift or hand truck to transport shipments as necessary.

· Adhere to loss prevention strategies, departmental policies, and safety protocols as outlined by management.

· Assist with regular inventory checks as needed.

Order Fulfillment Duties

· Monitor and print online order requests for processing throughout the shift.

· Gather merchandise from the store and match it to orders with precision and efficiency.

· Once items are located, transfer them, remove security sensors, attach security tags, and generate shipping documents.

· Create shipping labels for online orders using UPS Worldship.

· Ensure all outgoing merchandise is in pristine condition and includes complete branding and packaging.

· Assemble containers for item dispatch.

· Respond promptly to internal communications.

Qualifications:

· Prior experience in shipping and receiving roles.

· Proficient computer skills.

· Familiarity with UPS and FedEx operations is advantageous.

· Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

· Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and a friendly attitude.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Attention to detail is crucial.

· Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to communicate effectively.

· Capacity to stand for extended periods.

· Ability to navigate throughout the store and departments.

· Flexibility for repetitive bending, stretching, and lifting.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move products as needed.

· Visual acuity for tasks such as viewing computer screens.

· Manual dexterity for handling items.

Education:

· High School diploma or equivalent.
