The Logistics Operations Supervisor will oversee all functions within the assigned facility, which includes managing and directing operations, ensuring safety, fostering associate relations, maintaining host relations, and facilitating effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide associates to execute operations safely and efficiently.
  • Engage with associates, host management, transportation partners, and FHI leadership to meet performance standards and safety objectives.
  • Assess staffing requirements and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to maintain a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Oversee the hiring, development, promotion, and termination processes for associates.
  • Identify and support areas for improvement, including but not limited to DART ratings, overtime expenses, turnover rates, and payroll percentages. Develop and implement action plans accordingly.
  • Maintain a safety-first mindset through regular safety inspections, adherence to safety protocols, EHS Safety Audits, and reporting potential safety hazards; collaborate with leadership to address any risks.
  • Ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety measures to maintain a tidy and hazard-free work environment.
  • Responsibilities and tasks may evolve at management's discretion.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, including both hot and cold extremes.
  • Must be capable of lifting cases weighing between 25 to 95 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, and squat as needed.
  • Utilization of standard office equipment in typical office settings.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours to meet operational demands.
  • Ability to focus on a computer screen for extended periods.

Additional Qualifications:

Education:

  • We believe that skills and experience are paramount. While educational background can be beneficial, it is not a strict prerequisite for success in this position.

Experience:

  • Experience in receiving or unloading within a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Prior leadership experience is essential.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Preferred knowledge of logistics.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English for effective communication.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Leadership capabilities and effective supervision of personnel and production.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and successful completion of a background check.
