The University of Pennsylvania, a world-renowned leader in education and research, is seeking a skilled Laboratory Services Assistant D to join our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art zebrafish facility, caring for over 8,000 tanks and supporting a large group of researchers in developmental biology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Feed and manage the well-being of zebrafish adults, juveniles, and babies
  • Maintain paramecia and brine shrimp cultures
  • Schedule monthly meetings with fish facility staff and directors
  • Communicate with users regarding water quality parameters, tank maintenance, and other essential tasks
  • Assist with training new personnel and ensure continuity of operations during university closures

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with 3-5 years of experience in aquatics science or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a wet environment and maintain Sunday-Thursday work hours

Compensation and Benefits:
