About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pest Control Technician to join our team at Connecticut Pest Elimination. As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch pest control services to our customers, ensuring their homes and businesses are safe and pest-free.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete our award-winning, paid training program to learn the skills required to be successful in the daily operation of a pest control service route.
  • Build relationships with customers, perform pest control-related functions, and schedule and run your own route.
  • Serve as a problem solver for customers, combining in-depth training and attention to detail to decide on the most efficient and best overall pest solution for each customer's needs.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and practice customer service skills by discussing additional services that meet customer needs for a complete pest management program.
  • Follow a route schedule within assigned territory, allowing flexibility with customer and weather-related factors and ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer's home.
  • Operate a company vehicle safely and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment.
  • Complete all required service-related documentation and leverage your hand-held device provided for speed and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • No experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen.

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

You must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodation:

  • Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
  • Ability to work in the field independently and manage route-based assignments.
