Medication Management Specialist

We are currently seeking a Medication Management Specialist to contribute to our exceptional care team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver medication reminders and assistance in accordance with state regulations.
- Administer medications as permitted by state guidelines.
- Manage the ordering and receipt of medications, ensuring availability for administration and liaising with pharmacies as necessary.
- Prioritize tasks to provide optimal service to residents as their needs evolve.
- Maintain accurate resident records in our digital system, documenting medication distribution, incidents, and observations, and reporting any changes in residents' physical or behavioral conditions.
- Conduct regular room visits and checks.
- Assist with resident care as required.
- Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance, including emergency alerts and communications from family and friends.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of residents, communicating any changes to the Director of Health and Wellness or the on-duty Wellness Nurse.
- Audit and verify medications that residents are self-administering to ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Maintain open lines of communication with supervisors and peers to foster awareness of resident issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience and training.
- Medication certification as mandated by state regulations.
- Successful completion of the ESL medication competency upon hire and as required by state regulations.
- First Aid and CPR certification if required by state law or company standards.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; effective communication skills with customers and colleagues.
- Capable of applying common sense to follow detailed instructions.
- Professional appearance in accordance with dress code standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality service delivery and hospitality, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing service failures.
- Strong verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly and listen effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals.
- Warm and helpful communication style, fostering credibility and rapport.
- Tactful in maintaining confidentiality and promoting an ethical work environment.
- Open-minded and adaptable to changing information and demands.
