Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., a diverse consulting engineering firm comprised of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, planners, and landscape architects, is actively seeking a skilled and driven Civil or Environmental Engineer for a full-time position focused on solid waste engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee engineering projects related to solid waste management facilities and systems.
  • Design comprehensive landfill systems, including double composite liner systems, leachate management, stormwater systems, landfill gas collection, and treatment systems.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for permits, contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for various waste management facilities.
  • Conduct engineering design reports, feasibility studies, and solid waste management plans.
  • Ensure compliance of construction projects with established plans and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in the design and permitting of solid waste management facilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in PA or the ability to obtain reciprocity is preferred.
  • Proficiency in designing site plans, grading plans, pipelines, and stormwater systems associated with solid waste projects is essential.
  • Experience in construction observation and contract administration is advantageous, along with a willingness to engage in seasonal field assignments.
