Position Summary:

The Production Process Engineering Manager is responsible for strategizing, overseeing, and coordinating the functions of maintenance, tooling, and engineering departments, ensuring seamless manufacturing operations throughout the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and mentor new team members.
  • Manage the daily operations of the department.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance assessments.
  • Administer disciplinary actions and employee terminations in line with company policies.

Essential Duties:
  • Work collaboratively with other manufacturing leaders to establish and evaluate priorities across teams.
  • Analyze the cost-effectiveness and viability of manufacturing processes; implement recommendations to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Oversee tooling operations, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Guide and supervise the planning and execution of plant renovations and expansions; liaise with external contractors and vendors.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and other leadership in managing maintenance department activities and responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including EPA and OSHA standards.
  • Develop and manage the departmental budget.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of plant engineering, industrial engineering, and tooling.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software for budget preparation and record-keeping.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial management or equivalent experience in the manufacturing engineering sector is required.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
