This is a full-time role for an Advanced Canning Technician. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Transporting and setting up heavy equipment using a box truck for canning operations
  • Conducting chemical mixing and sanitation processes
  • Setting up and troubleshooting machinery such as labelers and date coders
  • Performing consistent quality checks
  • Maintaining cleanliness of equipment to meet company standards
  • Understanding and adhering to company policies
  • Collaborating effectively with fellow technicians and brewery personnel
  • Safely operating heavy packaging machinery
  • Conducting repairs and maintenance on packaging machinery
  • Taking mandatory breaks as required
Supervisory Expectations

Advanced Canning Technicians are expected to operate independently, manage customer interactions, and provide guidance to onsite technicians.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical capability to handle 150-lb. pallets, push 800-lb. canning lines, and remain on feet for 8-12 hour shifts
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with varying hours and potential overnight stays
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
  • Quick learning ability to adapt to evolving procedures
  • Knowledge of beer production, with home brewing or brewery experience as a plus
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 4-year college degree preferred but not mandatory
  • One year of experience as a packing machine operator preferred but not mandatory
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this role, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and various job site conditions, including noise and temperature variations.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand or walk continuously
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to push/pull up to 800 pounds on wheels
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions in support of canning line operations
