CAD Standards Specialist

Beta Technologies is seeking a highly skilled CAD Standards Specialist to join our PLM Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for improving and expanding our CAD design methods and best practices, while supporting Catia and Solidworks for our Engineering Teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and champion robust adoption of Product CAD and DMU Engineering best practices
- Design and implement a comprehensive CAD training program for Design, Design Reviewer, and other team members
- Develop and manage parametric product architecture models, including Skeletons, Master Lines, and Interface Controls
- Establish and maintain CAD Standards, including 3D Modeling, Drafting, Materials & Mass, and Standard Parts libraries
- Collaborate with engineers across departments to identify knowledge gaps in CAD and PLM methods, and proactively seek to leverage unused software features to improve process inefficiencies
- Provide training and support to Product Development and Manufacturing Engineers in Catia and Solidworks modeling, relational design, generative shape design, drafting, review, and other key functionalities
- 2-3 years of experience with configuring and supporting CAD engineering design software, with a preference for CATIA and SOLIDWORKS
- 2-3 years of experience in Aerospace or Automotive, Transport, or other complex mechanical product development and manufacturing industry
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering design and analysis disciplines and practices
- Strong problem-solving and root cause corrective action investigation background, with a support and troubleshooting mindset
- Eager to learn and develop new skills in 3DExperience and CATIA
