About the Role:

Clark Nexsen is seeking a highly skilled Architect II to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design process for various architectural projects, including educational and cultural institutions, commercial developments, and government entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process for assigned projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions.
  • Provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects.
  • Apply advanced architectural concepts and designs to create innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams during project design phases, including programming, concept development, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Develop design sketches, renderings, models, graphics, presentation materials, analysis, and construction drawings and schedules.
  • Participate in the bidding and construction administration of projects, including jobsite visits, review of submittals, and responding to contractor questions.
  • Communicate and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, including clients, owners, users, team members, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • Professional degree from an NAAB accredited Architecture program.
  • 6+ years of professional experience.
  • Must be a fully licensed Architect in at least one US state.
  • Additional accreditations supporting the firm's commitment to design and continued personal growth (LEED AP, WELL, etc.) will be given special consideration.
  • Physical model building experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent graphic, drawing, and presentation capabilities.
  • Exposure to environmental analysis applications such as Climate Studio, Sefaira, Insight360, and Lady Bug/Honeybee is a plus.
