Global Medical Strategy Leader

We are seeking a seasoned medical affairs professional to lead our Medical Affairs organization and support our small and agile team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a global medical strategy that aligns with our overall product and R&D strategy.
About the Role- Lead the Medical Affairs Organization: Build a high-performing team with a hiring plan aligned with our development stage, launch timelines, and regions needed.
- Develop and Execute Global Medical Strategy: Collaborate with our Chief Medical Officer and cross-functional team to develop a comprehensive medical strategy that drives business growth and supports our product development.
- Establish Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain credible, scientific partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and centers of excellence in mood disorders and psychiatry.
- Drive Scientific Communications: Develop and execute scientific communication and educational initiatives that support our product development and business growth.
- Deliver Medical Input: Provide scientific and medical input on our Clinical Development Plan and drive the development of an evidence generation plan.
- Support Market Access: Ensure sufficient medical support and input to market access activities and health economic data needs.
- Represent the Company: Act as a company representative with external scientific leaders, patient organizations, and regulatory authorities.
- Identify and Address Gaps: Identify data and insight gaps and define strategies and tactics to address these gaps proactively.
- Strategic Leader: Proven track record of medical affairs experience in psychiatry and mood disorders.
- Medical Expertise: MD, psychiatry certified, or PhD with neuroscience background and experience in the psychedelics or TRD areas.
- Global Experience: More than 10 years' experience in international or global role in medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Business Acumen: Strong knowledge of the overall drug development process, health economy, and access considerations and principles.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in psychiatry disease is a must, and experience in development of psychotropics is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, diligence, and ability to lead a team.
- Communication Skills: Good negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Good organizational and time keeping skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously under direction and prioritize workload.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional and positive attitude and present clear instruction/direction to team members.
- Results-Oriented: Proven ability to successfully achieve results within a multi-cultural and geographically diverse cross-functional team.
