About the Role

GH Research is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to lead the Medical Affairs organisation and support all other functions in a small and agile team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Medical Affairs Organisation: Build a team with a hiring plan aligned with development stage, launch timelines, and regions needed.
  • Develop and Execute a Global Medical Strategy: Align with overall product and R&D strategy, in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and cross-functional team.
  • Establish Credible Partnerships: With KOLs and centers of excellence in mood disorders and psychiatry.
  • Drive Scientific Communications: Develop a Scientific Communications Platform and execute scientific communication and educational initiatives.
  • Deliver Scientific Input: On the Clinical Development Plan and drive the development of an evidence generation plan.
  • Ensure Medical Support: For market access activities and Health Economic data needs.
  • Represent the Company: With external scientific leaders, patient organisations, and regulatory authorities.
  • Identify Data Gaps: And define strategies and tactics to address these gaps proactively.
Candidate Specification
  • Strategic Leader: With a proven track record of Medical Affairs experience in psychiatry and mood disorders.
  • Medical Expertise: MD, psychiatry certified, or PhD with neuroscience background and experience in the psychedelics or TRD areas.
  • Industry Experience: More than 10 years' experience in international or global role in medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Business Acumen: Strong knowledge of the overall drug development process, health economy, and access considerations and principles.
  • Specialised Knowledge: Experience in psychiatry disease is a must, and experience in development of psychotropics is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, diligence, and ability to lead a team.
  • Communication Skills: Good negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Good organisational and time keeping skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously under direction and prioritise workload.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional and positive attitude and present clear instruction/direction to team members.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to successfully achieve results within a multi-cultural and geographically diverse cross-functional team.
  • Flexibility: Flexible, able to adjust, embrace, and drive change.
