We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director to lead our Brockton Behavioral Health facility. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall direction and strategic expansion of our behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of our behavioral health treatment programming, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety.
- Manage a budget of approximately $23M and oversee a staff of 200 people.
- Collaborate with our Chief of Psychiatry and Medical Directors to maintain a commitment to quality care, patient safety, and customer service.
- Design and implement procedures for evaluating the effectiveness of our behavioral health program, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain quarterly reporting mechanisms, including operations, financial, and growth metrics.
- Participate in local and state-wide behavioral health task force meetings.
- Perform regular leader rounding on all units and respond to facility emergencies as needed.
- Collaborate with Chiefs, service line directors, and nursing leadership on program planning, budgeting, recruitment, and office space allocation.
- Collaborate on capital planning for behavioral health service lines with clinical Vice Presidents, Chiefs, and RN leadership.
- Participate in the recruitment of physicians and key leaders within the service line.
- Adhere to DMH, DPH, TJC, and BSAS licensing and operating standards.
- Oversee vendor relationships and ensure proper use of equipment, supplies, and facilities for maintaining patient care.
- Foster a culture of safety and respect cultural diversity for all customers.
- Commit to operationalizing a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion among staff and patients.
- Master's degree in a behavioral health-related discipline.
- Active independent license in a behavioral health field in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Five to seven years of progressively responsible management experience in a behavioral health organization.
- Experience with patient care in a psychiatric and substance use disorder setting.
- Ability to foster a healing environment, problem-solve, and work collaboratively towards defined patient care outcomes.
- Broad-based health care operational experience, demonstrated knowledge of various health systems, and cost reduction strategies.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, self-directed, and able to implement new programs.
- Demonstrated ability as an effective leader, analytical ability to solve clinical issues, and organizational skills to set priorities and complete assigned workload.
- Ability to manage stress, work on-call 24/7, and possess multi-lingual skills (beyond English) in languages appropriate to patient populations served.
