Brockton Behavioral Health Clinical Stabilization Services LPN

Boston Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider in New England, and we are seeking a skilled LPN to join our Brockton Behavioral Health Clinical Stabilization Services team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and administrative support to patients in the CSS unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse, CSS Program Director, and Patient Care Director/ACNO.
  • Facilitate patient access to recovery-oriented SUD treatment, resources, and community recovery groups with an emphasis on medication administration and evaluation.
  • Assist with providing patient care, including recording vital signs, discussing and documenting chief health concerns, and performing specialized testing.
  • Maintain quality control testing of point-of-care lab equipment and perform nursing-type duties specific to the department.
  • Triage sick complaints from residential patients and collaborate with the behavioral health counselor to develop and implement a recovery plan.

Requirements:

  • CPR & BLS/First Aid certification upon hire
  • Preferred proficiency in Epic EMR
  • Knowledge of community, social, and health resources, particularly substance use-related resources
  • Expertise in establishing working relationships with patients, their family, professionals, and the community
  • Computer competency, inclusive of the ability to access and enter data
  • Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to facilitate interactions with members of the health care team, patients, and their families
