Position Summary: The Commercial Plumbing Technician is essential in servicing, diagnosing, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining plumbing and associated systems for our industrial and commercial clientele. Responsibilities also involve conducting backflow tests, overseeing projects, and aiding in sales initiatives. This role is suited for a proficient technician capable of merging technical service with customer engagement and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Services: Provide service, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for plumbing and related systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Backflow Testing: Execute backflow inspections and certifications in compliance with Virginia regulations (certification required within 90 days if not already licensed).
  • Project Oversight: Assist with various project management tasks, ensuring timely and quality completion of assignments.
  • Sales Support: Enhance sales efforts by utilizing technical expertise to identify customer needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct site evaluations, preventive maintenance, replacements, and modifications as requested by clients.
  • Technical Guidance: Remain updated on manufacturer products and offer technical assistance to clients.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in plumbing operations, or an equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
  • Understanding of basic electrical systems and fuel types, including natural gas and propane.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
  • Virginia backflow inspection license or the ability to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Plumbing and Boiler Systems.
  • Possession of Master, Journeyman, or apprentice license.
  • Previous military experience is advantageous.
