We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Instructor to join our team at Unitek Learning. As a Clinical Instructor, you will play a vital role in educating and training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching skills lab and clinical rotations to students in our CNA program. You will work closely with our team to ensure that students receive high-quality education and training that prepares them for success in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach skills lab and clinical rotations to students in our CNA program
  • Ensure students are practice-ready and meet all state regulations for certification prior to the end of the program
  • Continuously seek out educational opportunities for students in the clinical setting to enhance their learning experience
  • Assist with updating and maintaining student files as relates to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements
  • Regularly evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving curriculum and course objectives
  • Provide daily feedback to students in real-time and post-clinical conferences
  • Provide access to students for ongoing communication through scheduling office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods
  • Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and assist with program data collection and skills checklists as required by state regulations
  • Participate in schedule meetings with theory instructors and program directors regarding student progress
  • Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative methodologies/techniques in teaching
  • Demonstrate or willing to acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material during interactive teaching and learning
  • Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations
  • Assist with updating and maintaining student files as relates to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements
  • Participate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure, takes responsibility for staying current with college updates
  • Submit required program reports and forms to the Program Director in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Director
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure and at least 2 years of nursing experience as a licensed vocational nurse or registered nurse
  • One of the two years should be in providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an Acute Care Hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care, or other long-term care setting. Must be verifiable
  • Experience which demonstrates: Current knowledge of nursing practice; ability to mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings; ability to work independently without close supervision; broad knowledge of nursing sciences; successful handling of day-to-day operations in the nursing assistant skills lab; proficient, strong communications skills verbal and written; current knowledge/experience in clinical setting
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed
  • Current state required immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
  • Successful completion of State Board training (if required)
