Role Objective

The Payroll Specialist will engage with team members across various locations to execute and oversee specific components of the organization's payroll and timekeeping functions. This role is crucial in ensuring that payroll is processed timely, accurately, and in adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establishes, maintains, and evaluates payroll processing systems to guarantee the prompt and precise execution of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Conducts regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates closely with management team members to complete diverse projects.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxation.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experienced with payroll software platforms.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to team members and management.
Education and Experience Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in payroll compliance and HRIS. Previous experience with timekeeping systems is required. Proficient skills in Microsoft Suite software are essential. A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory, with some college education preferred.
