Role Objective

The Payroll Specialist will engage with team members across various locations to execute and oversee essential components of the organization's payroll and timekeeping operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that payroll is processed punctually, accurately, and in accordance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establishes, maintains, and evaluates payroll processing systems to guarantee timely and precise payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Conducts regular audits to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates closely with management to complete diverse projects.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll functions, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experienced with payroll software systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to team members and management.
Education and Experience Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in payroll compliance and HRIS. Previous experience with timekeeping systems is essential. Proficient skills in Microsoft Suite software are required. A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory, with some college education preferred.
