Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at PATHS. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and update patient demographics, eligibility, and insurance information
  • Enter data into electronic medical records system
  • Maintain patient Sliding Fee Scale status and update registration annually
  • Obtain record release signatures and follow up on receipt of records
  • Explain PATHS services, patient policies, and procedures to patients
  • Educate patients on patient portal use
  • Check in patients, prepare electronic charts, and collect payments
  • Handle cash, process credit card payments, and maintain knowledge of insurance policies
  • Answer patient questions and maintain accurate appointment system
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Preferred: Medical office experience, FQHC experience, and eClinicalWorks EHR system experience
