The Assembly Operator Technician III ensures our equipment runs efficiently and continuously by setting up, optimizing production runs, and performing quality checks as needed for each machine.
Here are some key responsibilities of our Assembly Operator Technician III:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient completion of the assembly process, ensuring high-quality and repeatable results
- Performs machine set-ups, including dip tube changes and mechanical part replacements
- Conducts quality checks and audits throughout production runs, verifying adherence to the quality plan
- Measures and examines assembly units to identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, making necessary adjustments
- Performs preventive maintenance on Assembly machines to maintain production equipment and minimize downtime
- Identifies opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost savings, and quality enhancements
- Participates in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) reviews
- Assists with Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintains accurate documentation of quality inspection results and production outcomes
- Ensures outgoing products meet required specifications
- Escalates identified safety, quality, and performance issues as necessary
- Provides training and support to others within the value stream
- Assists with machine disassembly
- Troubleshoots issues beyond basic resets, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Determines corrective actions for electrical parts or electrical-related issues
- Drives continuous improvement strategies
- Supports on-time delivery by running assembly machines as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements for Qualified Candidates
- Basic shop math and computer skills
- Basic machine troubleshooting skills and ability to solve mechanical issues
- Willingness to assist other cross-functional teams as needed
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and report data based on machine performance
- Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to learn, grow, and adapt to changing business needs
