Role Overview:
In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for the precise and efficient execution of our semi-monthly payroll processes utilizing Ceridian Dayforce. As the main point of contact for payroll and equity-related inquiries, you will support our North American workforce, including both the US and Canada, while partnering closely with our internal People Operations and Finance departments.

Your efforts will be vital in ensuring compliance, enhancing operational processes, and providing support to our employees.


Key Responsibilities:
As our Compensation and Equity Administrator, you will manage the complete semi-monthly payroll cycle for over 700 employees across multiple states, in addition to a small Canadian workforce. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the operational instructions and transmission of outsourced payroll for US and Canadian employees.
  • Acting as the primary liaison for data vendors, ensuring timely provision of reports and necessary information.
  • Collaborating with our service provider to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local tax regulations, and addressing discrepancies with authorities as needed.
  • Compiling data for 401k audits and addressing related inquiries.
  • Providing guidance on US acquisition projects to facilitate seamless payroll transitions and assist with legacy closures.
  • Managing tax adjustments and year-end W2 filings.
  • Generating periodic reports for third parties as required.
  • Staying informed about legislative changes, such as state-specific minimum wage and tax reporting requirements, and coordinating with our technical team to implement necessary updates to payroll software.
  • Processing garnishments, workers' compensation, union payments, and leave of absence payments.
  • Overseeing payroll for hourly employees using our integrated time and attendance system.
  • Assisting People Operations Generalists with general benefits administration related to payroll.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.


Equity Administration:
In addition to payroll responsibilities, you will support the daily management of our equity programs, utilizing the Global Shares platform. Your tasks will include:

  • Maintaining accurate records of equity grants and supporting the administration of our equity program.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders in Finance, Legal, and People teams.
  • Serving as a point of contact for our partnership with the Global Shares team.
  • Addressing inquiries from employees and leadership regarding our equity offerings.
  • Facilitating company communications surrounding our equity programs.


Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll, with a preference for experience in equity administration.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state US and Canadian statutory regulations.
  • Excellent data management skills, particularly in Excel/Sheets, along with a helpful attitude.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a proactive approach.
  • Desirable payroll qualifications and familiarity with Dayforce.
  • Experience with equity platforms and public company share plans.
