We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our Addiction Treatment Center team at The University of Vermont Medical Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based outpatient services to individuals with primary substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate new patients and diagnose substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders using established criteria
- Assess patients for appropriate level of care using standardized tools and guidelines
- Provide direct patient care, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy
- Consult with primary care and other referring providers to ensure comprehensive care
- Present cases at weekly clinical rounds to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Coordinate clinical services with internal and external providers to ensure seamless care
- Develop and update treatment plans to meet individual patient needs
- Continued care and discharge planning to support long-term sobriety and wellness
- Master's degree in a behavioral health or related field
- Active Drug and Alcohol Counselor License (LADC) in the State of Vermont
- Active additional licensure as a clinical social worker or clinical mental health counselor in the State of Vermont preferred
- Training or certification in specific areas, such as case management, group therapy, or cognitive therapy
