Job Description

This position provides direct clinical mental health evaluation and individual and group psychotherapy to the patient population of individuals experiencing a sub-acute or acute mental health crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct diagnosis and treatment to patients
  • Case management duties, including consultation with primary care and other referring providers, assessment for admission, and coordination of services with Crisis and inpatient psychiatric providers
  • Coordinate treatment for the patient while in the program, including treatment plan updates and aftercare planning
  • Document patient care and treatment in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Current State of Vermont, Social Work License
  • Valid LICSW license
  • At least 3 years direct clinical experience post licensure in an acute or sub-acute mental health setting
  • Training in acute crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and symptom reduction
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training and experience in CBT/DBT approaches to acute mental health symptom reduction or alleviation
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team
  • Additional clinical certifications and skills in specific clinical specialties
