POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team, focusing on inpatient care for patients undergoing Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work Schedule:
This role is a full-time position with a commitment to day and evening shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Provide 12-hour coverage from Monday to Friday.

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will engage with patients facing acute and chronic health challenges, particularly those receiving Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy in an inpatient environment.

Your contributions will be essential in delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare.


As an Advanced Practice Provider, your duties will include:
  • Assessing and managing patients with acute and chronic conditions, specifically those in the inpatient setting receiving Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy.
  • Conducting thorough health histories and physical examinations for patients undergoing treatments such as allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplants, CAR T-cell therapy, and bispecific T-cell engager therapies.
  • Performing necessary procedures for disease assessment and treatment, including but not limited to: Punch skin biopsies, Bone marrow biopsies (with or without conscious sedation), Lumbar punctures, and Intrathecal chemotherapy administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
If Nurse Practitioner:
Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited nursing program.

If Physician Assistant:
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA program; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.

Experience:
Preferred candidates will have prior clinical experience as an APP, inpatient RN/APP experience, or oncology experience.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Active State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
  • Active board certification in the area of clinical practice.
  • Active DEA license or ability to obtain prior to or upon hire.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to engage with patients and families in emotionally charged situations.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to enhance these skills through training.
  • Professional demeanor and teamwork capabilities.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
