100% FTE, Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday to Friday. Hours may vary based on departmental needs.
Position Summary:
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be a vital member of our inpatient and outpatient care teams, delivering high-quality and cost-effective medical services to patients.
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients experiencing acute thoracic conditions, focusing on lung, esophagus, and mediastinum disorders (non-cardiac).
- Conduct routine medical procedures including chest tube removal, drain removal, suturing, J tube changes, and VAC dressing changes.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Providers, and surgeons in the Thoracic Surgery Service.
Minimum:
If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum:
If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in the State of Wisconsin, along with active board certification as a Nurse Practitioner. This includes certifications such as Adult, Adult/Gerontology Acute Care, or Emergency.
If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in the State of Wisconsin and active PA board certification.
All applicants for the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant roles must possess an active DEA license or the ability to apply for one prior to or upon hire.
