Advanced Practice Provider - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

The selected candidate will work a 100% FTE schedule with core hours between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, consisting of four ten-hour shifts with rotating weekends.

About the Role:

As an Advanced Practice Provider in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective care to pediatric patients. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive daily physical assessments of patients with acute health issues.
  • Participate in daily rounding and collaborate with attending physicians and consulting teams to adjust plans of care.
  • Perform routine clinical procedures independently, as outlined in practice agreements and scope of practice, including sedations per protocol, line placements for venous or arterial access, and airway management.
Education and Licensure:

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program or a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program. Additionally, they must hold a minimum of State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure and an active DEA license or the ability to apply for such a license before or upon hire.
