Shop Technician - Diesel Systems

H&E Rentals is seeking a skilled Shop Technician to join our team. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel systems on heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engine problems, including fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) to seven (7) years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus.
  • A history of working with different forms of heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, compactors, and other types of aerial and earthmoving equipment.
