Key Responsibilities

This role is primarily accountable for overseeing our employee benefits, which includes managing vendor relationships, facilitating open enrollment, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, the position entails handling Worker's Compensation claims, unemployment claims, and various administrative responsibilities. The HR Generalist will ensure adherence to federal and state regulations across all operational areas, while also developing and implementing best practices and strategies to enhance compliance and service efficiency for our team members.

Qualifications

We seek a Human Resources professional with the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration and at least 5 years in Human Resources.
  • Proven strategic problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems; experience with Paycom is advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding of benefits management, including experience with open enrollment processes.
  • Awareness of industry trends related to benefits and a proactive approach to staying informed about laws affecting benefits, unemployment, and Worker's Compensation.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Additional Skills

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and foster a collaborative atmosphere. A strong customer service orientation and exceptional attention to detail are essential. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines is crucial.

Work Environment

This position is based in Springfield, Oregon. Estimated travel for this role is minimal.

Requirements

Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.
