About the Role:
Kent is seeking a Chief Process Engineer to join our team. You will collaborate with various disciplines and groups, both on-site and within corporate technical networks, to deliver engineering solutions for projects in different execution phases. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing leadership in process engineering for multiple projects from inception through detailed design, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Leading a team in developing heat and material balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and technical calculations.
  • Conducting engineering studies, specifying process equipment, and analyzing vendor data to meet project requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Utilizing industry-leading software for process simulations and preparing necessary engineering calculations.
  • Offering technical support to the Business Development team and assisting in proposal preparation.
  • Defining project scope and design criteria while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Preparing estimates and schedules for the process engineering components of projects.
  • Assigning tasks to other engineers and reviewing their work in accordance with company procedures.
  • Facilitating client and vendor meetings and coordinating with cross-discipline teams.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively to achieve project goals within deadlines.
  • Supporting leadership in standardizing best engineering practices.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in petrochemical, refining, and oil and gas sectors.
  • P.E. license is preferred.
  • Proficient in process engineering guidelines and standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of process design techniques and software, including Aspen HYSYS and Pro II.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively collaborate with team members.
