Role Overview

As a Corrections Deputy at the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of offenders and staff. This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires a high level of motivation, attention to detail, and professionalism.

Your primary responsibilities will include participating in secure and safe offender movements and activities, serving meals to offenders, operating and working housing floors, control centers, intake and property sections as required, documenting offender activities, interacting professionally with offenders, and supervising offender housing units.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 19 years old, and hold a valid driver's license or state-issued ID. You must also be a US citizen.
