Job DescriptionThis position involves defining, documenting, and recommending process improvements to support the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for the Department of Defense (DOD). Key responsibilities include:
- Creating, reviewing, editing, and updating SOPs, communication plans, control plans, project documents, charters, instructions, or other documents
- MAPPING assigned business processes, validating and updating existing business process maps
- Providing mapping support for additional component and organizational realignments
- Conducting root cause analysis of process issues
- Supporting CPI project phases as assigned
- Providing information, research, and recommendations
- Establishing Corrective Action Request (CAR) processes
- Creatng implementation schedules and strategies for potential improvements
- Tracking project progress and attending meetings
- Developing electronic libraries and indexing structures
- Facilitating process improvement workshops
- Documenting lessons learned from After Action Review (AAR) sessions
- Maintaining database and SharePoint pages to support approved process improvements
The minimum requirements are:
- Secret Clearance
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or similar
- Experience in program planning and process improvement
- AS or AA degree or equivalent, BS / BA highly desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Visio or other mapping tools
PREFERRED qualifications include Six Sigma certification and relevant education.
Work EnvironmentThis position will be based in Alexandria, VA, with the possibility of remote work a few days a week.
