About the Role

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine department, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality diagnostic images.

This is a full-time position with Monday-Friday shifts and variable hours, including rotating call. The successful candidate will have opportunities for growth and professional development within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:Imaging Services (90%)
  • Screen patients for examination precautions and contradictions, ensuring correct patient and procedure using two identifiers.
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients, preparing them for Nuclear Medicine scans and positioning their bodies accordingly.
  • Perform routine and advanced imaging procedures on designated body parts, providing patient support throughout the process.
  • Assess, prepare, record, and administer radio pharmaceuticals according to regulations and departmental policies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety-related work behaviors to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques appropriately.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and colleagues.
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Achieve accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
Department Support (5%)
  • Perform daily quality control procedures on specified equipment to ensure correct operation.
  • Conduct daily and weekly departmental surveys to ensure compliance with radiation standards.
  • Report contamination to the Radiation Safety Officer.
  • Assist in maintaining updated imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
Additional Tasks (5%)

Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

The estimated salary for this position is $138,000 per year, with a relocation or sign-on bonus of $10,000 available to the right candidate.
