Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Specialist to join our team in Mail Operations. As an Office Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing outgoing and internal mail services that support the department's mission of achieving compliance with tax laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order, warehouse, and distribute approximately 1,000 types of forms used by the Department of Revenue.
  • Print, fold, scan, and insert services for internal customers.
  • Act as a backup for other positions in mail operations.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, including software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate and provide customer service in person, by phone, and in writing to fill form order requests.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in order to meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in high-volume mailing environments.
  • Experience in updating and maintaining databases.
  • Knowledge of state tax and Revenue forms sufficient to respond to requests for specific forms.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds above shoulder height.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time on a daily basis.
  • Ability to bend, lift, reach, and carry objects weighing 25 pounds on a regular basis.
Additional Requirements
  • Prior to an offer of employment, a background check will be conducted.
  • All individual income tax filing and payment obligations must be current prior to interviewing for this position.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
