Admissions Counselor I

As an Admissions Counselor I at Texas Woman's University, you will play a vital role in representing the university to various constituents, facilitating the implementation of policies and programs to achieve enrollment projections. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the university at scheduled presentations, college fairs, and other recruitment events.
- Recruit students from Texas high schools and community colleges, developing and maintaining relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other community programs.
- Interview and counsel prospective students and families, providing individualized assistance with educational goal identification, program selection, and financial aid planning.
- Organize on-campus and off-campus recruitment activities, including developing communication plans and marketing initiatives for prospective and accepted students.
- Lead the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of student assistants.
- Participate in staff development programs and campus functions, making recommendations regarding the university website and publications to promote campus visit programs.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of one year of job-related experience, preferably in recruitment and/or admissions.
- Valid Texas driver's license and a safe driving record.
This position requires regular and reliable attendance at the university during regular scheduled days and work hours. All employees are responsible for maintaining an environment that is free from discrimination, intimidation, harassment, and sexual harassment.
