Job Summary

The role involves the precise assembly of automated equipment by interpreting electrical schematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain familiarity with Wagstaff's equipment and production processes.
  • Interpret and understand electrical schematics.
  • Complete necessary quality documentation in accordance with departmental and corporate standards.
  • Estimate production task durations accurately.
  • Meet production goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with Designers, Engineers, and fellow Panel Builders.
  • Assemble and wire control panels.
  • Perform mechanical assembly of power distribution panels and operator control consoles.
  • Install electrical conduits, pull wires, and bend/install pneumatic piping.
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical testing, calibration, and quality control on finished products.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and issues.
  • Work with the Production team to integrate finished electrical panels efficiently.
  • Provide constructive feedback to engineers and designers to enhance equipment design.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • May require working beyond 40 hours to meet business objectives.
  • Occasional field service responsibilities may involve site visits.
  • Travel may be necessary based on customer and company needs.
  • Assist in training team members on departmental processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge and skills relevant to job duties.
  • Ability to apply standard techniques and procedures.
  • Understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with standard business software applications.
  • Knowledge of fundamental electrical principles and relevant codes.

Work Environment:

The position primarily takes place in a well-lit, climate-controlled office environment, with occasional exposure to the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to various hazards. Personal protective equipment is required in these areas.
