Position Overview

The Airline Customer Service Agent is responsible for delivering comprehensive airport and passenger service operations. This includes managing reservations, issuing tickets and itineraries, calculating fares, processing refunds, and handling baggage inquiries. Agents are expected to provide essential travel information to passengers, assist with boarding and deplaning procedures, validate tickets, and ensure all arrangements for passengers with reservations and standbys are executed smoothly.

  • Handle monetary transactions accurately.
  • Engage with customers, addressing their inquiries and needs.
  • Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
  • Adhere to uniform and grooming standards as established by the company.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with passengers.
  • Respond to repetitive customer questions with patience and friendliness.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Preferred experience includes a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in computer operations is necessary.
  • Ability to perform under pressure is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Desirable Skills

  • Exhibit leadership qualities, initiative, and sound judgment.
  • Fluency in English, with additional language skills preferred based on customer needs.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Engage in physical activities such as twisting, bending, and reaching throughout the work shift.
