Manufacturing Technician Job Overview

Role Summary

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the efficient assembly, repair, and rework of various assemblies with minimal oversight, ensuring that the output is precise and comprehensive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, repair, and rework mechanical assemblies with a focus on efficiency and quality
  • Utilize test equipment and engineering drawings to evaluate mechanical components
  • Ensure high standards of quality and timely delivery in a dynamic manufacturing setting
  • Conduct functional testing on products using specialized testing apparatus
  • Provide assistance across all production areas as required
  • Collect and manage data effectively using Microsoft Office tools and data collection techniques
  • Oversee inventory management and execute transactions
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and assembly specifications
  • Experienced in the use of various mechanical tools and electronic testing equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is advantageous

For candidates in New York, the salary range for this position is between $41,600 and $58,240 per year. Additionally, INFICON offers a profit-sharing bonus to its employees.
