Manufacturing Technician Job Overview

Role Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Technician will:

  • Efficiently assemble, repair, and rework mechanical assemblies with minimal oversight.
  • Utilize test equipment and engineering schematics to evaluate mechanical components.
  • Ensure high-quality output and timely delivery in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
  • Conduct functional tests on products using specialized testing apparatus.
  • Provide assistance across various production areas as required.
  • Accurately collect and manage data using Microsoft Office applications and other data collection techniques.
  • Oversee inventory management and execute necessary transactions.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An Associate degree in Mechanical Technology or a related discipline, along with a minimum of one year of experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings and assembly specifications.
  • Proficiency in using various mechanical tools and electronic testing equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is preferred.

In New York, the salary range for this position is between $41,600 and $58,240 per year. Employees at INFICON are also eligible for a profit-sharing bonus.
